On the question of money bribing of the voters in municipal elections

Solovev Sergey Gennadevich

graduated from the Ural State Academy of Law in 1995. In 1998 he defended a Candidate’s thesis; in 2005 he defended a doctorate thesis “Systems of public institutions of municipal law”. Now he is a Chairman of the department of Constitutional, administrative and municipal law of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Law of South Ural State University. Abstract

The problem of money bribing of the voters in municipal elections is considered. Following the analysis of current legislation and law enforcement practice of election campaigns the authors considering different situations and technologies propose ways of modernization of legislation on municipal elections to exclude the bribery as a means of campaigning during municipal elections.
