Features of responsibility for causing personal injury in the criminal legislation of the European countries

was born on May 27, 1981 in Shadrinsk of the Kurgan region. In 2003 she graduated from Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy, in 2004 she graduated from the Faculty of Law of South Ural State University. In 2006 she defended a Candidate’s thesis “Criminal and legal features of personal injury”. Now she is an Associate Professor of Criminal Law Department of the Russian Academy of Justice, Ural branch. She is the author of more than 100 publications. Research interests: development of the concept of criminal legislation improvement in the sphere of health care, expert and forensic conclusion on personal injury. E-mail: Mariagl2004@mail.ru.

Abstract

The article gives criminal provisions of foreign legislation on the responsibility for causing injury. The author pays attention to the fact that in legal reality of dynamism of modern society there are new more complicated forms of criminal regulations of personal health protection. In this connection the article gives theoretical and legal analysis of legal nature, notion and content of criminal legislation on the responsibility for causing personal injury following illegal biomedical testing, use of prohibited methods of diagnostics and treatment as well as drugs, illegal genetic manipulations and human cloning.
