Abstract

The article analyzes problems of formation of concepts in philosophy, logic and law. Characteristics and features of the concept in the sciences given are considered, viewpoint on definition a general concept in science is  given The article shows the research in retrospective beginning with the ideas and views of the XVIII century and the Soviet period. Moreover, the concept is seen to be a process of cognition of objective realty in a psychological aspect. Concept formation in law depends on features and characteristics and thus they are formed and grouped in terms of general rules of science.  Special attention is paid to two basic approaches of concept formation in philosophy and logic.
