The nature of restoration enforcement measures to secure the rights and private interests of the people injured in the criminal acts

Oleg Aleksandrovich Tarnavskiy

was born on December 9, 1974. In 1997 he graduated form the Faculty of Law of Orenburg State Agrarian University. In 2000 he defended his candidate’s thesis in Criminal procedure mechanism of bringing and adjudication of a civil suit in criminal case. Now he is a Vice-rector for security and legal problems of Orenburg State University, associate professor of the Criminal Procedure Department. He is the author of 30 publications. Research interests: protection of the rights and freedom of the citizens in criminal proceedings. E-mail: iens@mail.osu.ru.

Abstract

The article considers the questions of restoration of the rights of the injured, the problem of legal nature of measures for compensation of harm: they are criminal, civil and procedural. The author comes to the conclusion that compensation of harm caused by criminal action is a separate criminal procedure institution.
